This year, Indonesia and Singapore celebrate 50 Years of Diplomatic Relations. For Indonesia, Singapore is the most important economic partner, as Singapore is Indonesia’s fifth-largest trade partner after China, United States, Japan, and India. Total bilateral trade in October 2016 reached US$ 20.90 billion. Singaporean investment in Indonesia totalled US$ 9.2 billion in 2016 (1932 projects), which makes it the fifth-largest foreign investor in Indonesia in the past five years. Furthermore, Singapore is the largest contributor of tourists to Indonesia with 1.519.430 tourists in 2015, up 0,014% from the previous year. (source: kemlu.go.id).
